Halloween Lion November 10, 2009

Filed under: Holiday — egwights @ 5:22 am

I am on the activities committee for our ward – so I went and helped set up our ward Halloween party – which actually turned out to be pretty fun. I didn’t think Emma would get into the kid-activities too well because of all the noise and people everywhere, but she had so much fun! I’m really upset I didn’t take my camera to that part! She went fishing for prizes, candy tosses, duck ponds, put put golf (not good at the end of that game because she didn’t feel they needed the ball and puck back), but the very best was the bean bag toss. She actually threw one from a few feet back and made it through the hole! I’m hoping for a tom-boy, so it may have been luck, but I’m going to say it was a good sign of throwing ability!

These two white balls in her hands are chocholate eye-balls that she personally picked out from her bean bag toss. She loved them so much, she held them in the car the whole ride home, and the ride back to another part! I went to pull her out, and the chocolate and peanut-butter were oozing out of her hands….yummy!

Our party didn’t have a Trunk-Or-Treat, so we crashed my friend Sarah’s ward party, too. We tried to get Emma to say Trick-Or-Treat to them, but she would just have her bag out and say “treat”. The girl knows what’s important.

Sarah and Chris dressed up as Popeye and Olive-oil – very cute!

IMG_1738E I tried to get her treat bag away so I could buckle her up…. not the best idea. She had quite a grip on that thing.

You can’t tell from the pictures – but Brad was pretty sick this day – barely moving on the couch, but got himself up and ready because he didn’t want to miss Emma on Halloween! How sweet huh? What a great Dad! It’s always so much fun going as a whole family – and it was a great Halloween activity!

Christmas January 21, 2009

We had a great time in Twin for Christmas! Emma got along quite well with Keegan, which was great. On Christmas Eve, the kids loved hearing Grandpa read the Christmas story!

That night, Emma got pretty sick, but she still seemed to have a pretty good time on Christmas. She loved her new sword that Daddy got her, and now pokes us with it saying “psh psh”. The next picture is her holiday outfit. The beret hat is so adorable! Everyone loves it at church!

This one really shows how she felt that day, but she loves her new baby! She wasn’t  sure of it at first, as it shakes and giggles, but now she squeezes it when it’s shaking and pats it on the back while saying “baby”. Thanks to everyone for spoiling us! We had a great time, and love you all!

Ward Christmas Party December 19, 2008

We all had a great time at the ward Christmas party. We ate food and were in the front row for the programs – which Emma was bustin’ moves to the whole time. She loves to dance! Then we got in line to see Santa Clause, expecting to get the classic screaming baby. Well, Emma screams with Jeff and everyone else at Thanksgiving, but has no problems at all with Santa.  Who knew? Guess she knows not to be mean to the one who gives gifts and candy!

Thanksgiving December 13, 2008

Well, I figure since it’s almost Christmas, we should put up a few Thanksgiving pictures!

What can I say? The food was Fabulous! Company was great! It was fun having most of the Wight family here in Boise, and being able to go to the Temple with them to seal together some families. What a great experience and opportunity!

We kept the oldest and youngest together to try and isolate the mess on the floor. (Just kidding Grandpa!) They just were getting along so well!

These two are always happy when there’s food near!
